I have always enjoyed grilling and dutch oven cooking.  A few years ago I finally bought a quality Weber gas grill and have slowly been building my dutch oven arsenal.  Nearly all the cooking I do is for my family, (wife and three hungry young boys ages 10 and under and a 3 yr old daughter), and a a few neighbor friends.

I have never done any smoked meats but have some friends and neighbors that do it.  I am looking forward to learning more about it.  I am partial to Weber but also very price conscious.  What do the experts here recommend for my first smoker knowing that I love Weber but at the same time am open to saving a little money with something else?

Thanks,
