I’m considering pulling the trigger on a LSG pellet smoker. The 42” seems like more smoker than I’d ever need, but I realize it’s only 6” longer than the 36”. Does anyone who has the 36” have any regrets on their choice and wished they got the 42”, if so, why?

Welcome , my PB has over 1000" of grate space, I could have went smaller without any problems but have had it loaded up at times, can't stretch them but you don't always have to use all the space, I might like a fatter drum if it was shorter , easier to do a 2 tier setup. good luck picking 1. lot of choices these days.

I have the 20x42. Got it rather than have regrets.
The $200 extra wasn't that much when you consider the price of the grill.
Also, it you plan on having a pan of water in it, that takes up space.
