Would it hurt any thing to leave the control set on smoke for 4-5 hrs? then ramp the temps up to 250,adjusted my P setting to 5 which is 1 higher than factory setting.I let it run for 4 hrs and it looked to be staying within 5 degree of 220 and most of the time dead on it,lid therm and grate thermistor are dead even at all the temps I have ran it at thanks

I know this is not the gospel, but when I called Traeger a couple years ago and asked this question they told me I could leave it on “smoke” as long as I wanted too.

It grills a pretty dang good steak also
