I took fried chicken to the next level today and smoke it.  It was the best of both worlds.

I fried the chicken first for about 12 minutes on each side.  Then placed in the smoker at 225 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.  A nice gentle smoke flavor with the crunch and saltiness of fried chicken.

That looks so tasty!  Never thought of frying chicken then smoking it, I will have to give that a try.  So the seasonings you put into the pan with the oil then fryed it gives it some extra flavor then?
