Here is a poll posted on KCTV5 Website.

My Vote was for Quick's...

I wander which Arthur Bryants?  I know we tried the one at the legends, and both their food and service sucked.  I ate at the old one downtown a long time ago, and remember it being pretty good.  We recently ate at Oklahoma Joe's, and we liked it, but thought it was just a little pricey.  My personal favorite is the Smokestack BBQ on Wornall rd.

I miss the BBQ my Dad used to bring home when I was a kid.  It was somewhere in Argenitine or Armourdale.  It always had sliced bread on it wrapped in newspapper or prown paper like paper bags, boy was it good, never had anything that good since.

Quick's and Rosedale are both in Armourdale.  Rosedale has really gone downhill in my opinion.

The last time we ate at Oklahoma Joe's a "Little Pricey" was an understatement.  We could have eaten for a week at the other joints for what we paid there.

It Might have been Qick's, because there is one on &th str. near the yards where he used to work, and the other on Merrium dr is near the Union Hall.  I wonder if they're as good as they were 35 or so years ago? lol

Ed Quick's is the one on Merriam and Quick's 7th St BBQ is on the corner of 7th & Cheyenne, just across the street from Bichelmeyer Meats...  The Quick;'s also have one on 34th st called the Big Q.  I believe they also purchased Rosedale BBQ a few years back.

Here are a few pictures of Bichelmeyer's Meat Case so you all can pity us here in KC for not having any good cuts of meat to choose from...LOL

My Dad used to work for Riley Const., their office/yards is on Boeke, just a few blocks West of the 7th str Quick's.  He is a member of an Operators Union too, and the union hall he went too was near the Merriam Quick's, so he could have went to either or both.  I am pretty sure it was probably Quick's though.  I'll have to check them out and see if they're as good as they use to be.

That meat there at Bichelmeyer's looks alot better than the last time I went there.  I do miss their beef bacon.  mmm

Wow Paul!

It's much easier to pick the best one around here-----We don't have any actual BBQ restaurants around here !
