As the title reads, I just ordered my Weber Smokey Mountain off of Home Depot's website and needless to say I am thrilled. I went with the 18.5" model and I can't wait for it to arrive and get started on smoking some delicious meat!

Well, that's all I wanted to share with you. I couldn't keep my excitement contained any longer!

Congratilations, Pigsmoke . I know the feeling. I was on pins and needles when I waited for mine...then it was day befoe F-Day and I called the shipper and said I was hoping for it for F-Day and he got the Driveer to agree to drop it off at the house...

.

this was the cause for excitement...

Have fun and enjoy  your new toy...send lots of Q-view.

Congrats!  Those are real nice rigs!

Be sure to show us some qview once you get that rig cookin'.

Thanks y'all!

As soon as I have 'er set up and smoking I'll be sure to snap some Qview and post it!

You will NOT be disappointed!  I have the 18.5" as well and I can fit plenty of meat on mine!  I've ran four pork butts at once without a problem!  Make sure to read up on how to light the coals to maximize the time you can maintain heat!  Again, you'll love it, I would make the purchase over again if I had to!

I would have went with the 22.5".....

Congrats on your new smoker! Enjoy!

Looking forward to seeing some great Q-view!

I wish I would have got the bigger one as well!

......ooops, I was just kidding. There's a thread (probably many) going back and forth about the two sizes of WSM and which one to buy.

They're both great smokers.

Thanks all for the well wishes! I have done lots of reading on the "Minion Method" and how to smoke ribs, butts, chickens, and all the others, so I just can't wait until it shows up and I can get to smoking. I was waffling back and forth over whether or not to get the 22.5" but I only have 3 people to cook for so the 18.5" will be just fine for most of the time.

Now I just need to find a good thermo-probe and I'll be pretty much set for the start of my smoking experience!

Most people here that own a Maverick ET-732 are happy with its performance, but I'm sure there's other good thermos on the market. Good luck with your search and your new WSM!

I second this. Works well for me and not all that expensive.

I have to say I have a new addition to my family as well. Finally ordered a Weber Genesis E-330 to replace my 911 grill (named because every time I fire it up someone has to call 911).
