Have 4 -1/2 racks of baby backs that I planned to smoke.  Well, the dang wind has picked up and my "grilling spot" is not that protected so I guess I will be cooking them in the oven "GASP"

.  I feel like it will be next to impossible to maintain the right temp.  I am going to make a more protected area to grill at sometime in the very near future.  Bummer!

Don't give up on smoking them. That half the fun of smoking is battling the weather.

Try to move to the side of the house that will help shield from the wind.

look for anything around that can help block the wind, (plywood , ect.).

Wind kicking up here today, Rain moving in later  and cold front on its way.

good luck

You have our sympathies, we've all been there at one time or another. I tried to BBQ a Thanksgiving turkey when a freezing rain started. Alot of people will open the garage door and drag the BBQ just inside the door.
