Mmmmm! Great stuff! Put the leftovers in a glass jar. How well does this stuff keep in the fridge? Do you rewarm before every use. Tried to put it in a ketchup squirt bottle but it was to thick so it went in a glass jar.
Very pleased for my first run with the recipe. Hope the rub turns out as well.

The rub is great!

I haven't made the sauce yet, but I have all my ingredients! Did you use a double boiler to avoid burning anything?

i also tried putting it in a ketchup bottle.......next time i make it, going to thunderstick it, to make it more mangable for a plastic squeeze bottle........

but to me, i need to adjust the heat......abit to hot for me, and the sugar, abit to sweet for me.......but thats what is great bout a recipe........you can fine tune it

No double boiler for me either. Just a sauce pan. Kept at very low heat until it just started to bubble and then reduced heat a little more. I may add a tad more brown sugar next time.
Whats thunderstick??

If you have a pastry bag, just put the tip in the bottle, the sauce in the bag and squeeze. BTW, I use the below contraption instead of a ketchup bottle, they have different ones, but this one screws right onto a barbecue sauce bottle, helps with spreading out the sauce. Pampered chef has one with it's own squeeze bottle...

I bought me a plastic funnel (the kind you use to add oil to a car). I washed it in hot soapy water, and it stays in my "BBQ drawer" in the kitchen. I use it for one thing- pouring Jeff's sauce into my container I bought just for that sauce.
The container is a 2-quart bottle, with a pop-up spout. The funnel works great, no spilling when pouring from my 3-quart sauce pan.

I use a food grade plastic funnel and pour it while it's still warm.
I use head country bottles.

The longer it sits, the better it gets!

I'm like AJ, I have all the stuff but haven't made it yet.

Glued: Do you like it better than Head Country? How does it compare.

So your excuse is................................................ ......?

It's different than head country. I can't really compare. personally I like to mix them together.

remember I did some groing up in ponca city so I'm head country raised. (ponca city the founding area of head country)

No excuse. Just hard to get away from HC.

Dude: Enid is kind of quiet and boring, but sometimes that is a good thing (And OKC is only a little over an hour away).
