I use a slowcooker / crock pot alot at home , what with the wife and I both working full time it come in real handy, and we love walking in at the end of our day to a ready to eat home made stew

anybody else out there use one of these? and if you do ,ya wanna share some recipes?

we make everything in our crockpot

chili - pasta sauce and meatballs - hamburger stew(instead of stew meat we use x-lean ground beef with sweet potatoes)

swedish meatballs, baked beans(leftover pulled pork adds a nice flavor), just about anything that you cook in the oven can be cooked in the slow cooker

We have a 1.5-quart that we use for chili con queso; and a 7-quart that we use for everything else. I use it for Chile Verde. My wife put in some pinto beans last night- we are about to eat, as soon as the cornbread is done.

For the pinto beans she does this: Brown and drain 1-lb ground beef, add to crock pot. Add a couple cans diced tomatoes. Put in the beans. Cook on low overnight. Pretty good stuff.

I use mine to make beef pot roasts with taters and carrets and onions. mmmmmm. I also make scalloped potatos and ham in it. Its also good for making sloppy joes.

I do the pot roasts and chili in mine... also this: throw some taters, chunk up a head of cabbage, chunk up some ham, some seasoning and some water... I call it Ham cabbage and potatoes....
mine has a real low keep warm setting.... good to keep pulled pork and stuff warm...
Make crab soup... some small potatoes , mixed veggies, Lump crab meat, seasoning- Old Bay... some beef stock...

I love the crock pot. We have 3 here at home. Use it for various things.
Use it for a signature dish I do also. Is a pork chop dish.
