I was reading an issue of Vegetarian Times (while thinking about meat) the other day and there was an article about how beer is good for you. They also had a site that you can go to and find out if your beer is vegan or not.
Not that it really matters to us carnivores, just thought it was interesting.
Never know what you're gonna find on the net.

looks like the Miller products I like are just like me, vegan-unfriendly.

My only question.......Why the heck were ya readin Vegetarian Times???????????

LMAO!!!!

I read all kinds of cooking magazines for ideas and just to up my knowledge of food preparation. I cook meals for my parents occasionally and since my Dad is vegetarian and both parents are health nuts I usually make a good vegetarian meal, or at least something that my Dad can have without the meat.
I was a vegetarian for over 10 years when I was a kid, but then I realized one day there was absolutely no good reason to not eat meat, so I started up again and boy oh boy, I was hooked. I thought meat was so good, and then one day I had it smoked and that made a great thing even better!
A perfect piece of smoked meat.....Oh the beauty, the flavor, it was soooo orgasmic I couldn't believe it!
That's why I love this site so dearly, good folks making good smoke enjoying it on the same level.
Though I do have to admit I still LOVE veggies. My brother is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, hates his greens (well there is one green he likes), but I love veggies, anything but brussel sprouts that is...even smoke couldn't save those nasty little buggers.

There is one called vegetarian that my wife gets. Great recipes.

There is an awesome beer called HeBREW, what a good kosher beer

Oh yeah Dude, believe it...

Well the vegan friendly refers to the brewing and bottling process I would imagine.

Technically even things like many salts aren't "vegan" considering they blast some salts and sugars through bone meal to clean it and make it nice and white.

I do have to say that many of the recipes are not only good side dishes but also you can get ideas from the magazine and adapt it to use real meat as opposed to cardboard flavored faken (fake bacon) and tofurkey and the likes.

Plus they do a lot of good organic gardening tips in the magazine, and I'm trying all organic gardening this year, hopefully no bugs will take over. I'm planting hundreds of "companion plants" like borage and nasturtium in the garden and hopefully it will ward off many bugs.

i just found out that yeungling is vegan friendly

Im off to the slaughter house to say 10 hail mary's the the head cow

Ahhhhh Yuengling, my favorite of all beers...
I'm all out, thanks dirtman, you got me thirsty, now I'm off to the liquor store.
Have you tried the yeungling premium? I actually think it is a bit more "watered down tasting" than the original.

9 or so years ago i discovered that delishous nectar in a country bar in P.A. I came home here to jersey and started asking for it, and all of the store owners looked at me like i had 5 head's. now a days you can just about find it every where. I have had every single one and love them all. The premiun is more of a pale ale rather than the Lager. that must be why you have that opinion.

Thats right, GUINNESS baby, GUINNESS!!!!!!!
Oh my god its a meal in a can.........

Well yeah, but it sure is tasty.
My second favorite of beers is definitely Guinness, named my dog after it cause she looks like an Irish Car Bomb (my favorite drink ever). A really heavy beer though which is why I generally drink Yuengling. The Guinness is more to celebrate my Irish heritage.
I do have to say though that vodka is my normal staple. My go to drink above anything else.

I looked at this website, and one of the things that would exclude beers from being vegan is the inclusion of honey...Honey isn't vegan??? Who knew? Apparently it comes from the exploitation of the worker bees

!

I love Guinness, and I think it is way more healthy than skim milk. Trouble is, it doesn't taste as good on my cheerios!

Blah, beer was an acquired taste as a child. You need to make those cheerios mix together better thats it.

Fire, You had me at VODKA. Nothing is better. I love beer, love it, but give me a tall double vodka on the rocks with two olives and im relaxed.
However, i must say that plain old iced tea is my number 1 drink above EVERYTHING. Is iced tea vegan

For many years it was nothing but African Lager (Guinness) for me, but I have become a fan of reel ales like Bitter & Twisted. My local in the southwest has 3 different reel ales each week, beer heaven.

I still wouldn’t drink the aptly named Skull Crusher from the Orkneys, I hear it is 12% and that’s just a bit much for me.
And then again i do like my white dog.
