Good afternoon everyone, this Doc Cox from England writing, have been on the forum for quite a while so thought this would be a good time to say " Hi Y,all " my home town is Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire England, about 80 miles west from London along the motorway, 57 years old, ex Royal Airforce Mechanic now delivering for a large DIY outlet, have an interest in all sorts of things, every day is a schoolday, haven,t actually done any smoking yet but have done plenty of barbeques and would think it,s like a cooking type of evolution, the nearest thing to smoking I have done was when we put a fresh fish wrapped in foil with butter and seasoning and it came out really tender, will be looking to modify a barrel barbeque that was my daughters and should be OK.as a cross draught smoker, any tips out there as how to go about folks, will let you know how it goes and send some photos in, regards to you all Doc Cox. Hi Doc,

Welcome to the SMF and thanks for the introduction.

I'm sure someone will come along and answer any questions you have about converting a grill into a smoker, though it would help to have a picture of what you are trying to convert.

Sounds like you know the rules...
