Here it is. Char-Broil The Big Easy TRU-Infrared Smoker Roaster & Grill . It's $152 bucks which is at the top end of my budget. If anyone has any other option for me I'm all ears. That's not true, I'm mostly feet and knobby knees.

Okay, sorry about that. I thought it was electric. I really don't care about electric or propane. I don't think I want a char coal one being a newbie. I'll try to move it.

I'm not very "forum" savvy. I wasn't able to figure out how to move it. Like I said earlier, I don't care whether it's gas or electric as long as it is big enough to smoke a turkey and fit into my $150 budget. I don't want charcoal though.

rickyd - Charbroil may have an electric version.  I don't know.  All I could find was propane.  It seemed from the videos that I watched that it is a capable unit. You can also just cut and paste your post/question over on the propane smoker section, and then you have all the bases covered.   Enjoy!

Yeah I was a little leery of the infrared, but it fit my budget. I'm worried about being able to find one.

Thanks for the info about moving my post. I found a different one on amazon and posted it in the propane section. I think it is a better one.

Looks like it's propane only. Amazon has it for $149 if you're interested. I know a guy who was given a much more expensive Smoke Hollow propane gas smoker and from the ribs I sampled propane smokers do a great job. I saw this smoker in action when I took a BBQ class and it seemed to work fine. The instructor also had a bunch of Traegers and a Big Green Egg. I only got to try out a Traeger and the BGE.

Personally, I'm not a fan of propane smokers because I don't like fooling with propane tanks at all, other than the 500 gal. one that provides heat, hot water, and cooking for my house. That's why I bought a MES 30 Gen 1. Sometimes, perhaps once or twice a year, Amazon will have the MES 30 Gen 1 on saw for about $130 so patience can be an economical virtue. Or if you can boost your budget $10 or so, here's a good deal on a MES 30 Gen 1 with a redesigned controller but otherwise the same exact smoker as the MES 30 Gen 1 with the rectangular controller:
