I'm making some sauce and it calls for 2 cloves of garlic!! I'm like damn thats a lot of Garlic but hey what do I know... So I buy 2 CLOVES of garlic at the store and come home and peal it and toss it in the chopper. Chop the 2 CLOVES up and start to put it in the sauce and I then Stop and think maybe this is wrong. I ask the wife "what are 2 cloves of garlic... She says to small cloves off the bulb of garlic..

DOOHHHHH... It's a good thing I like garlic..
Needless to say the sauce is Super Garlic Sauce now..
Man I'm a dumb ass.....

Now we see that MossyMO is more experienced here! Ask first! I actually have a recipe for a cream of garlic soup that calls for 5 heads (bulbs) of garlic. My husband and I have both agreed that both of us has to eat it, we wouldn't be able to stand the other if only one ate it!

Maybe you can just make up another 10 batches and add it to the first?

On the bright side garlic is supposed t be very healthy and the vampires will stay away for awhile.

Two bulbs, two cloves bah whats the difference? Its garlic, the more the better!

That sounds yummy! I have a recipe for garlic dip that everyone enjoys whenever I make it. Maybe we should start a new thread and trade recipes?

You can laugh at me, I am

... I should know better and if I'm not sure I need to ask the wife or check the net..
Won't have to worry about Vampires or the Wife...
Still trying to decide if there is a difference between them???

JK...

There's never enough garlic in my house... I think misunderstanding the recipe's call for garlic was probably a good thing!

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! Your not supposed to measure out that stuff anyway........only for baking. I've never had too much garlic, the more you add the better it is. Do ya think ol Bobby Flay has never done anything like that? Heck, the first time I made Jeff's rub I used TBS on chili powder instead of tsp. I threw some other stuff in there to make up for it, it was fine. I haven't used measure'n spoons since, rarely used it before that.

Your fine, you might even be on to the next best thing.

I don't know ya, but I like call'n people dumb a$$'s, so there ya go. I'm the president of the club, your #124,320,754,243,026,234,089,243,509,862,430,986,2 34,590,862,340,958,-623,458,208,964,506,562,893,450.

My husband would have done the same. I sent him to the grocery store when we first got married with a small list - one of the items being green onions. He thought I didn't know what I was talking about and brought me back a couple of onions and a green pepper!

I still give him a hard time about it but I think now that he may have done it on purpose... so he doesn't have to run to the store for me anymore.

The wife tired it and likes it also, so it was a good mistake.. And after it cooled off in the firge for a while it taste even better!! Go figure..
Used it as a dippin sauce for wings that had Jeffs rub on them.... Very good combo... Some blue cheese on the side also... And a ice cold brewski...

Don't feel to bad, my brother in law loves bread pudding. He got his hands a recipe and wanted to try his hand at cooking.

He mixed heavey drinking with his first attempt at cooking.
The recipe called for 1 tbs of salt so he did what anyone would do and put it 1 CUP of salt.

Didn't catch the mistake until everyone was over for dinner and he was bragging at how good his bread pudding is going to be.

We were all drinking a lot after trying to eat that chit.

Glad you posted that, I'm about to pickle some eggs and the recipe calls for a clove, I would have put the whole thing in
