Bought a full  brisket last Sat. on quick sale. $26.00 off.

Jeff's newsletter.   Brisket

The man is a psychic!

Stick around!

It seems like Jeff knows what we all have in our freezers?

Now it is time to work out of my freezer!

I always buy meat on sale so I don't have to pay full price.

If I don't work out of the freezer, I will miss the next sale.

Seriously, it is way too easy to go to Subway or order in a delivered pizza.  We defeat the reason for our freezer by doing that?

Being older folks at my house, we think about those things.   I don't want to outlive my money.

But it is so easy?

Good luck and good smoking.

Merv, we've always had a small freezer.    After getting hooked on smoking the past 4-5years and now getting hooked on sausage, our freezer stays packed to the gills.   I cleaned out the frig freezer a while back to put meat in it.  My wife wasn't to happy about that.

I happened to see the brisket in the market the week-end and noticed it had 2 tags on it.   "Quick sale"   Picked it up so no one could take it.  Looked at price, thought about budget, looked at price, what will wife say, looked at savings and  checked out with it.  Went to market to get cheese  to make  seafood dip,  Damn cheese cost me  50 bucks!   :-)

Took it home cut in half, into freezer (good thing its flat)   and dang, newsletter 5 days later  "Brisket"

Not sure what is considered old, but we raised 3 boys.  We have always bought on sale.

I had the same problem as Wes, I used to have my freezer stuffed. I recently went out and bought a small chest freezer, 7.1 cubic feet. It is the best thing ever, I love it. For only ~150 bucks the price was right, now I have more than 150$ worth of meat in there lol.
