I'm really new to smoking, and started this summer (2009). Without this site and the help of the people here I would of had to learn all this by trial-n-error. i.e a lot to the dogs or trash.

With all the knowledge here I have had GREEEEEAT success! Absolutely NO failures, knock on wood.

A special "Thanks" to all you fellow smokers for all the GREAT help and advice.

BTW my buddies now know me to have a smoking habit and refer to it as "Vitamin S".

I hear ya gembey. I wish I knew of this place years ago. What a cut in the learning curve. Make sure you learn all you can here, and pass that on to the next newbie

I honestly have to say that if not for this site I would not have been able to smoke half of the things I have done with success so i know exactly what you mean.

I'm happy every day that there is such a great site I can go to and not only share my smokes but look and even still learn new things to try.

Man that was a bunch of quick replies.

First of all I'm passing along the quick knowledge I've been blessed with to a couple of buddies that taking to the smoke. My wife asks for Turkey, chickens...and whatever....as long as the smoke is light. (Working on that)

If I had teachers like this I would be a highly paid CEO!

What curve? This vast group of knowledge allowed me to hit the ground running. I've done one turkey and now been volu'n-told (by LoML) I will be doing one for New Years. YUMMMMMMMM

OK what is and how do I enable "qview"?

Aging thanks for all the help and in advance for the future help.

That's what makes this site so great. Had it not been for this place I probably would still just be trying to fumble my way through doing ribs on my Weber Kettle.

Homemade pastrami, never would've thought to try to make it at home.
Pulled Pork or Beef, that would've only been ordered at restuants.
And fatties, well, that's something I used to do back in college.
Not to mention, I never would have made the aquaintance of cowgirl.

Great place here. Thanks Jeff

This site has thought me so much. I would still be grillin and burning things "oh thats not burned it's BBQ it's supposed to look like that" But this place has given me some really great advise and has thought me the art of smoking, makin bacon, and now the sausage that is out of this world. So I thank every last one of the folks here and now we all have some really good friends to hang out with and get fatter with too. HOORAY for THE WAISTLINE
