It had a 6L VVT at 440 hp with cold air intake (2008 Vette motor). I had the jet impeller mirror polished and balanced then Teflon coated the whole inside of the pump surfaces. It would do 48 mph on rippled water at 2000ft elevation....
Now that looks like fun 👍

Ok not mine but had to share. My cousin's 1966 Thunderbird 428. Swing away steering wheel and all. Fun cruiser. View attachment 734816
I remember Dad going to Detroit, picking up a 1964 T-Bird at the factory and driving it home. All the bells and whistles plus a special paint color (can't remember the name). During the summer it was white but in the winter with snow on the ground it took on a bluish tint.

NOT a "muscle" car.

It's a full dose of adrenaline for sure! This run adds another pucker factor to it as well. The above pics were on Peg Leg rapid at a class III flow.... this one is Wild Sheep rapid in Hells Canyon...Class IV at this flow.... you have to cross the rapid mid-point to avoid the rock shelf you can see at the bottom left of the pic.... you only have about 1/2 second of wiggle room on the throttle to avoid a sinkage.....

the best line is to skirt this rock, ie run 24" off of it at about 75 degrees to the current....

It's an unforgettable experience for sure...I've ridden through it with another driver when it was a class V flow....that was insane... the pilot at the time had 2 world jetboat racing titles at the time...he could make boats do things that defi normal logic
I'd name my boat The SS Minnow if I tried that!

Ryan
if you close your eyes its over in just a few moments one way or another....LOL
