My loving bride gave me the go ahead to pick up a new pellet grill at the end of the month. I've looked at a bunch of brands online and it looks as though the GMG Daniel Boone will be the one I'll be getting. It fits my budget and appears to have a good feature set. Any one else here use one? What do you think of it? Would you get something else instead if you could? I'm currently using a MES 40 but it's been a bit unsteady lately with a number of replacement parts being needed. I'll probably keep it and use it for cold smoking with my AMNPS.

I'm really looking forward to joining the pellet grill club!

Beer, ya gotta love a woman that lets you buy toys like that!  I've got friends that cook with pellet-poopers and they get great results. I'd say for the money you're getting a bit more cooking surface (432 sq. in) than the Trager (418 inches).

Our wives must have talked.  Mine gave me the go ahead to get a pellet pooper as well.

Mine wanted a Thomas Kinkade painting, so I said you get the painting and I get the smoker and she agreed.

SHE got a good deal... hehehe

Oh, not that you didn't, but.... she doesn't have to season hers, doesn't have to tend it, only rarely has to clean it, and YOU do the cooking on YOURS!

so.... SHE got a good deal! hehehe
