how well do these jerky driers work?

Just a gimmick.  Cant find any instructions on how to use them.  What temperature to set the smoker, etc.  Do they run when you are smoking or just after the smoke for the drying?

Help and comments on their value would be appreciated.

Lots add fans to help with the drying. For $99 it's a pretty spendy fan. $5-10 you can get a fan for a computer that will do the same job.
