How long in the brine?

I am considering smoking some catfish fillets, I want to use a brine but dont know how long to leave the fillets in before they are ready. Anyone know?

it will depend on the strengh of the brine. 1 cup salt to 1 gal water about 4 hrs.

I just did a batch of Sebokes smoked catfish, left it in the brine for 4 hours.
