I'm planning on building a horizontal reverse flow this summer. I want to place a vertical smoker box on the end opposite the fire box. My question is: How should I go about constructing a damper to close off smoke-flow to the vertical section? Any chance someone would have a pic to link for me?

I'm just having a hard time visualizing that piece.

Thanks.

I'd look into a standard HVAC damper setup. Just a lever that spins a sheetmetal disc sideways in a pipe. Simple, and effective.
