It took 8 months to put it all together but my wife and I finally are having 3 out of 4 sons home at one time. Our oldest one re-tired from the US Army last fall and this is his 1st trip home.
With 3 sons, families with LOTS of grandkids I'm getting a head start on the menu. With burgers and dogs for the kiddies. The grown-ups are getting smoked beer can yard birds, hot pulled pork sammies and my 1st shot at pulled pork chili w/ cheddar cheese biscuits, all coming off the P.B. and favorite adult beverage severed ice cold. The yard bids are on the P.B. as I type and I just pulled the pork. I'll start the chili cooking on my 820 starting about 0600hrs tomorrow, and the Sammy pork in the crook pot about noonish. Root beer floats and smores over a camp fire will end the day. It's always a major thrill for my wife and I to get the boys home together.
Thought I'd type this today because tomorrow I'll be way to busy being my normal grumpy smurf self with the grandkids.

Cook in progress,
Up-date on menu, I forgot about the tater salad and the smoked beans. Over slept this AM but the chili and the beans are in the P.B. cooking low-n-slow. No big rush on grating the smoked cheddar or harvesting freshest cilantro available.
