the insane stuff we did back then, my best friend and i had this habit of passing each other in the opposite lane, say if i was going out of town and he was coming into town and we spotted each other and if there wasn't any other cars around i would dodge over to his lane and he went into my lane and pass each other 60 to 70 mph, got chased by a really irate and pissed guy or kid back then, the friend with me was the cause of it all, went from Knoxville to pleasantville he could just bearly kept up at a few hundred yards behind me, the road i was on called string town road for all the winding and sharp turns and it went right through the heart of town going east/west, there's no courthouse at the center of town just a park.
Anyway it was after midnight and i went through town at 120mph and this joker wasn't brave enough
so i lost him when i hit the other side of town and got on another road going back to Knoxville.
i had a 1977 sport fury and driving since i was 16, it came stock with the 318 engine and all electronic ignition and did away with that and went to a twin point distributer, new intake manifold and a 4 barrel carb, soon after that i found another sport fury with the 400 police interceptor, put in duel points, swaped the stock one for the ported aluminum intake manifold and a holly double pumper 4 barrel carb, that car was screamer
my best Friend had then a SS chaville cevy rag top, 12 bolt posi rear end, powerhouse 396 motor, and he swaps it for a corvette 400 thinking it would do better,
----NOT----- it was a nice car tho, all this was was 1993-1985
