I don't usually join internet groups or sites like facebook but I have a smoker and would like guidance when I need it.

I consider myself experienced and competent on the grill.  I just purchased a Napoleon Prestige gas grill with an infra red side burner.  This replaces my old one from ten years ago.  It just finally wore out.  I barbecue year round, even when surrounded by several feet of snow (we have another winter storm coming tomorrow, is this April?).  

Last year I picked up a Masterbuilt propane smoker and used it in November to smoke ham, salmon and a couple of pounds of almonds.  The almonds did not make it to Christmas.  As the weather warms up  it"s time for me to challenge myself with the smoker.  

If you see a thread titled 'YIKES' you know I'm over my head.  I'm looking forward to accessing all the knowledge on this forum.
