Just getting around to introducing myself here.  I am a pharmacy student currently living near Chicago but will be moving back to Southeast MI around June.

I came to this site after seeing a post in the Home Brew Talk forums.  Since then I've been thinking back to the thousands of pounds of meat and sausages that I processed in my teens with my grandpa.  Got me wishing for some of that homemade sausages, especially smoked summer sausage.  Figured starting out here would be a good way to get back into the game.  My sausage making will have to start with just the KitchenAid mixer grinder attachment as that's all I have the means for, but from what I understand I guess that will do for small 5 lb batches.

Finally, a pulled pork sandwich has to be one of my favorite meals, so hopefully when I make the move back I will be able to build up a UDS to get going.

Thanks for taking the time to look,

Wilson

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!  I bought my hubby a Brew Kit for Christmas....there are several home brewers on the site.

Have you signed up for Jeff's E-Course yet?  It's free and has some great information on it!  Here is a link! http://www.smoking-meat.com/smoking-basics-ecourse.html

If you would please...update your profile and let everyone know where you are when you roam around the forums.  You probably will find some neighbors!

If you need any help just shout.  Happy to help out!

After just browsing for a little while I am very happy to have found the site.  Lots of great ideas for recipes and future smoker builds.
