Doc keeps trying to get me on cholesterol meds, but it’s not so high that it can’t be managed with diet. But that really cramps my grilling and insatiable appetite for beef, pork or anything else that contributes to high cholesterol. So to still get my grilling fix, I’ve started cooking more fish. Whole Foods had a sale on halibut, so I ran up a grabbed a filet. DW wasn’t in the mood for fish, so I went solo on this one. Mixed up some herbs and seasoning with softened butter and spread that on the halibut. Cooked indirect at 400° while enjoying an El Mayor margarita until IT hit 135°. Served with blanched and lightly buttered and seasoned broccoli. And I get it - the butter probably counteracts any benefit of the fish, but it tasted great!

Love halibut. The original "chicken of the sea" to the fishermen.
I've got a package in the MN freezer to consume this summer.
Try adding fish oil or krill oil supplements to your daily regimen. They reduced my cholesterol levels.

Looks delish! We have just begun adding a little fish into our diet also. Having a little trouble finding the kind of variety we would like, but I am sure we will figure it out!

Your fish looks great!

I just started the fish oil pills recently. Now that I’m at least paying attention, it’ll be interesting to see my results in next year’s blood work.
