help tri-tip in NC

Guy, I'm from a little town about 30 miles north of Charlotte, NC and I have a friend who is from CA who is wanting some tri-tip. The only problem is I can't find any anywhere. I have tried just about every butcher in my area and specialty markets, but can't find any. If anyone knows where I can find some it would be much appreciated.

They are hard to come buy, I have had to ask Harris Teeter and a local butcher to bring them in for me, and they WILL!

I have been looking for them too and not seen them anywhere around the triad.

I am gonna ask Sam's Club next time I order a couple packer briskets.

Have you tried Costco? They sell the Morton's of Omaha tri-tip roasts in WA, which are not raised or packaged around here. Chances are they might have them where you're at too, and they are delicious

Thanks for your replys. I will try harris teeter and a costco just opened up in charlotte so i will drive there and see. I am also a member of resturarnt depo and they said they used to carry them, but there was not a high demand for them. I guess that is the price you pay for living in a state that is a pork centered. but I still love me some pork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
