Had the handle for a long time. I did ride a Honda, but after years of living in MS on the coast, traded for a boat. Now shopping for a bike again. probably more of a cruiser or touring bike with the advancing years...

I understand that as I always had bikes of some kind, Honda was my go to the most.
Sold my last bike for down payment ( part of it ) for first house with my now wife about 35 years ago. And every spring try to tell myself I don't need one . As no time to ride and we have boats as we live on the water also.

But 2 years ago I had my heart set on a DR650 Suzuki ( or the 400 model ) had 2 that I almost got until My darling wife had a talk to me , again about why for and when would I . Well that was quite the discussion for a few too many weeks. LOL

Over it now , but still miss the ride.

You're a better man than me Dave. I'm going to take the leap back in to the two wheeled world. Like you, I'm looking at a smaller bike now, 500 to 800, just for tooling around on the coast. Living in south Mississippi I have a long fishing and riding season and a morning ride along the coast is just too much to pass up now that I'm retired and have a plethora of time!

I do spend most of my time hunting and managing a 5,000 acre hunting club, keeps me in unlimited pork! Also plenty of deer, quail, rabbit and squirrel, all will be spending time on the smoker, between fishing and riding trips!

Wow, now that is retirement, a 5000 acre hunting club. Pork is wild pig I take it.
No trolling in the rivers around here this time of year , ice is hard on the boats and tackle. Couple weeks the ice should be out of the lake and then the Trout will be hunger, or I hope so.

I can't wait for my next 10 years to retire.

WAIT,
I get up at 5:30 am tired, go to work , come home, work around here than to bed by 11: 30 / 12 and I am tired ,
is that considered RETIRED. LOL ha , I kill me , I'm here all week try the Veal. I know I'm an ass. :emoji_laughing:But happy.

Welcome from Kentucky!

Now shopping for a bike again. probably more of a cruiser or touring bike with the advancing years...
I rode for most of my life, but in my current physical condition, I'd need a Harley Tri-glide, or Goldwing trike. Too rich for me to get into lol.
