I found this sight while looking for reviews on thermometers. Looks like I will be busy reading for a while!
I am in Livingston County, Michigan and have just started this smoking venture. I have tried cold smoking cheese twice so far, but still have some learning to do....

I recently came into a Cres-cor insulated food warmer that I will be using. I also picked up a tube pellet smoke generator. I made an adjustable smoke stack and installed it just last week. Next step is buying a thermometer and doing some reading here!

welcome . I drive thru the area sometimes going to DTE or the palace . I'm at exit 66 on I 94 but when I go to your area I always go up 23 to 59 and take that to where ever I'm going . I sent the local grocery store meat man to this site a while back and a few days later he was complaining how tired he was , I asked him why and he said "the last few nights I've spent about 3 hours on that forum " I just laughed , because I did the same thing when I first found this site . It also gave me the instructions for repairing my wiring on my MES 30" . If you stick with this site you'll never have unanswered questions very long .
