OK, so now that I've thrown down the gauntlet, I have recently bought the MES 40 and now, I have just purchased the AMAZNPS. Can't wait to try the Pittmaster's blend that I bought along with the smoke generator. I have always used the Smokey Mountain Weber bullet smoker, but I got tired of having to feed it all day, smelling like smoke all day, etc. The first time I used the MES40 for ribs, I think I made better ribs than I ever made on the WSM. Will be smoking 2 slabs of spare ribs this weekend, 2 chickens, and a salmon filet for my parents-in-law. I previously smoked 2 chickens on the MES40 without halving them, but someone told me that halving them is a better way to smoke them. Ideas? So glad to be here, thank you for the opportunity! I've been a resident of KCMO for 32 years and I love the KC bbq, but I think anyone with a good rub and 10 hours to smoke can make a great bbq.
