Hello from East-Central Missouri

Hello everyone!

I came across this forum some time ago and have been down a few rabbit holes browsing through the content on the site. Sitting here watching it snow I figured it’s about time I join the community.

I live about an hour west of St. Louis. I’ve enjoyed cooking for as long as I can remember, and that led me to smoking/grilling, which has become a form of therapy at the end of a long day. Other hobbies include hunting and fishing, sausage making, a little gardening, and in the past couple of years I’ve started making mead.

There is an amazing amount of knowledge and experience here, and I am excited to learn more and contribute what I can.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! The snow finally stopped and I got my driveway shoveled. Picked up some chicken wings for today’s football games. Having a cocktail and trying to talk myself into pulling the Recteq out of the garage and smoking them before they go in the air fryer….
