I recently purchased a Pitboss Ultimate 4n1 and tryed smoking ribs for the first time on Sunday. I think they turned out pretty good for my first time.. I'm thinking I either put to much rub or over did some because some parts where dry but majority of it was great! Glad I found these forums so I can learn from everyone.

First off welcome to the site! Those ribs look tender and fall of the bone! Way better than the first time I did them!

How did you do them? IE what temp did you smoke at, did you foil or not foil, do you know the final IT?

Your ribs look good man!

I love ribs! If/when you make another batch try this method turned out great (these were baby backs)

I have pretty much stopped wrapping much unless I run out of time.

Thanks! I tryed to keep temp at 225 and put foil on them for 2hrs and then only put back in for another 40min or so unwrapped. I read do for another hour but was getting dark. Mixed in some rub and cinnamon and little honey as well

They look great! I do mine at 225 as well. Could have been a tad overcooked if it was dry in spots. I can tell the rack probably broke apart when you tried to get it off the smoker. Ribs are hard to monitor temp wise. I usually take my instant read thermometer and try it in-between a few bones. Temp at 195 will get you tender with a clean bite but not quite FOTB. Anything 200+ should be FOTB.

Yea they did break apart when I unwrapped them from the foil actually learned a lesson be more careful during this process. I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have placed them back in smoker as long unwrapped after seeing this so will try that aspect differently next time.
