This is a heads up for anyone that has a Giant grocery store around them. I got a call from a friend of mine yesterday that stopped at Giant on the way home from work. He said "Hey they have those big pig chunks that you like here on sale" I asked him how much they were & he said $.99/lb. Sweet! I told him to get me 4 of them & to check on loins too. They were $1.89/lb so I told him to grab one of those as well.
They turned out to be picnics & only 2 were in the case so he went to the service desk & got me a rain check for the other 2
He snagged me a pork loin as well. They told him they should have more on Saturday so I may call & make the trip if they do & save the rain check for when they go off sale (C.S. said the rain check would be good even if they were no longer on sale)
So if any of you have a Giant around & need some picnics it would be worth checking out. I think I will make some sausage!
