Has anyone converted an MES to propane?

I'm thinking about doing this since I want to try propane (I'm tired of being tethered to an outlet and since the element on it no longer works...). Since the unit is so well insulated, I'm worried about not being able to keep the temps low and the plastic around the dooor which has already partially melted.

You might want to ask some of the MES owners here about the element as it might be the wiring which I understand is a simple fix...

I don't think the cabinet would be acceptable to propane but that is just my opinion...
