yesterday, due to circumstances beyond my control, i had to remove my pork shoulder from the smoker before it was done.  i wrapped it in plastic wrap and refrigerated it cause i didn't know how long i would be gone.  can i restart the fire and finish the shoulder or is it a lost hope?

what was the temp when you pulled it?   How long was it on before you pulled it and what temp was your smoker running?
All this and the BIG question...Did you Inject anything?...JJ

the meat had just passed 150, i kept the smoker between 225 and 240. no injections, just brine

well it is technically cooked. nothing wrong with firing  it up again and taking it to the finish line

might not be the best one ya ever did but if ya keep it moist it may not be to bad.

maybe even  leave it foiled for the first few hours, then give it a little extra rub and finish it off to 200* if you are going to pull it.

This may be a little late but as above. Go ahead and finish the cook there are no safety issues...JJ
