Been trying to get some info/pricing on rock wool insulation from a shop in town. 3 phone calls, 2 walk ins...all with the we will give you a call line of bs. The rock wool I can get from the box stores is 3” thick, this shop claims they can get the same rated stuff in 1.5" thick. Is an additional 3” on the outer edges of an insulated fire box really going to matter? Place that someone here suggested I contact wants close to $50 to ship one package....[emoji]128556[/emoji]
