Grilled Chuck Eye Steak Strips

This worked so Awesome on a couple Ribeyes, that I had to try it on a Pair of Chuck Eyes @ $5.99 per lb.

I’ve grilled Chuck Eye Steaks a few times in the past, and the only problem I’ve ever had with them was they usually fall apart on the grill.
So I figured that was another reason to cut them into strips before Marinating & Grilling.
So I cut these 2 into strips, and marinated them in “Kelchner’s Pineapple-Teriyaki” for 4 hours.
Then on they went to My Hot Weber “Q” for a few flips.
Then we plated some for each of us & added Baked Potatoes & Green Beans on the side.

The Steak had Great flavor, but I was a little disappointed with the lack of tenderness in this pair.

Then the second night, I sliced up some Baked Tater & Fried them Brown in Butter, to add to some leftover Steak pieces & Green Beans.

Then the next morning, I managed to cut up the rest of the Steak, and heated it to go with a couple of Sunny-Side-Ups.

That’s All I got for now,

Bear

That looks delicious! I'm surprised though that they weren't falling apart tender with that marinade.

Looks good Bear. Especially those eggs and the fried taters are a great idea.
When I was a kid, we used to get Filet of Chuck steaks that looked like filet mignon, but way cheaper. Very tender. I've never seen Chuck Eye steaks, I wonder if that's the same or similar.

That looks great . You know I love chuck eyes . The guy that used to cut them for me is no longer at that store . I used some teriyaki and a flank steak the other day . Man that char is good .
Nice work !

You only get a couple chuck eyes from an animal . Labor intensive to cut . That's why you don't see them much . Not the same as a chuck steak . Here's an eye out of the package

Thanks Chop, the marbling looks awesome, so I can imagine it's really tasty. Never seen it before. I wonder if my local Butcher shop has it.

Yup---The first time I ever saw them was years ago, when "MossyMo" used to do a bunch of them. He's the guy from North Dakota who owns "Owen's BBQ", selling seasonings & Sausage Kits. I think he told me there was only 2 Chuck Eyes Per Cow.

Nice bear. That caramelization is fantastic. Must be that marinade you are using. I those chuck eyes also really good in a slow cooker with some cream of mushroom and roasted garlic soup.

Thank You Brian!!
Hmmm---Interesting--Do they still taste like Steak, or more like Roast Beef?
And Thanks for the Like.
