Coming to you from the Great Lakes State. Downriver area. Lincoln Park to be specific! Just south of the Great Motor City! (Grew up there!)
Novice smoker but well versed cook. I have done a few slabs of ribs with my own rub blend. Got great reviews even though they weren't smoked.

I grow my own Cheyenne peppers and dry them for fresh Cheyenne pepper for the rub.

Working on my own BBQ sauce.

I make my own "Melt Your Face" salsa and have expanded that to hot sauce as well. I call the sauce 'Doc's Face Plant".
Both made with Habaneros or Trinidad Scorpions and Jalapeno and Cheyenne peppers. I grow them in the summer so my summer salsa and sauce is much better. Especially with fresh tomatoes!!

I guess that's it for now!

Doc

FYI - I tried to update my profile and it wouldn't save.
