I wanted to say a quick hello. I'm a 31 year old firefighter/paramedic from Baltimore turned stay-at-home dad in Cincinnati. I moved here six months ago when my daughter was born to take care of her as my wife completes her masters. It has been quite the change of pace, but I am adjusting slowly.

I have recently gotten in to smoking after years of grilling. I bought a Lang 36 patio and I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I look forward to learning my new craft and improving my patience. If anyone knows of a good place in the southwest Ohio area to get wood for the smoker I would love to know as I am new to the area.

Thanks,

Chad

Welcome to Cincinnati!  If you are looking for decent wood chunks or chips, I usually get mine at Meijer.  I have found hickory, apple, and oak is both chunks and chips there.  I have also found cherry there, but only in chips.
