My Slicer I won on ebay arrived today. I was so excited I had to remind myself it was actually my wife's birthday and not mine! I was a good boy and waited til later to open up my present. Here is what I found.

She is a oldie but goodie. Take a look at the flyer for the cover. Just $1.50! I bet this thing was made in the 60's. Maybe someone knows otherwise.

Opened it up and was elated at the condition. Spotless and hardly looks used at all.

Gave it a quick clean and fired it up. I only had some cheese which is hard to cut as it's gummy. Sliced up great!

I have a FoodSaver on the way I won on ebay too. Looks like I will be doing a roast beast this weekend to celebrate the new slicer!

Thanks for looking!

That's a great looking slicer Bill! Congratulations on the new toy.

Cool, how much did you pay for it? I have one similiar and newer I think, I got mine in the 90's I think. I am waiting for my new one to arive also and may sell my Rival if the new one is any good.

I'm wondering if it will shave meat or not, let me know. Cheese is tough to do, so you put it through the test right off the bat. Good luck with it.

Ron, I paid a total of $38.00 bucks for it including shipping. I didn't show a pic but I was able to "shave" off some of the cheese very thin. I think I will be happy with this. Good luck with your new one!
