If you didn't hear about it the GLBBQA put on a BBQ class in Holly MI. I took my Dad and B-I-L. This was mainly to affirm that I knew what I was doing...and to turn my Dad on to the art of BBQ... This class was everything it was put up to be...it was good for the seasoned Vets and the Backyard Joe! Thanks to all of you!! Now the food...only thing I can say is OMG!!!!

I have never eaten that much meat in one day in my life...everytime they would demonstrate then they would send it around to sample!!! Since when is a full leg or multilple full ribs a sample!!! LMAO!! Unbelievable!!

Just to let you know BBQ Bubba...if your out there...my Dad is ready to try the 3-2-1 method of doing ribs!!!!

Now on to the show!!!

Not sure how it happened but I got pulled up during the Rub demonstration...that's me on the right and the instructor on the left.

Hi shorts, I was there too and sat almost right in front of you. I had a hat like buddas on, and was the guy who commented on how great the GLBBQA folks made me and richtee feel at eagle last year.

I thought I would add a couple pics of the fine event. The GLBBQA folks are awesome and worked very hard to make this a huge success.

here is another of that tenderhearted Bubba!

and this is Ford Allison with a magnificent whole beef tenderloin that was later smoked up for all to taste.

some of the folks in attendance

and some of the great leadership and foundation of the GLBBQA

anyways shorts, I wish I would have personally talked to you, other than passing you a pan of ribs, chicken, pork loin, smoked salmon, abts, tritip, or beef tenderloin.
If that wasn't enough, they gave us PP sammies, coleslaw and cornbread for lunch!

I believe thay may organize another in the fall or late summer, after comp season is over.

Yes they are planning a one in the fall from what I was told...possibly geared toward competition cooking... I suggested they might also think of one for the average Joe to get his feet wet...someone like my Dad just has a grill and he's trying to figure out how to do the meat low and slow...
