This started last night when I was crusing this site for info & reciepes - I started having SWD"s(Smoker With Drawls) So this morning I asked my husband to get my smoker out for me-Wow-did he get excited "what're we going to have" -Next came the disappointment-Reply I'm smoking salt-"SALT"? Yep salt !I found the recipe for hickory smoked salt and just had to try it-By now you are probably asking where are the FROZEN pork steaks?Well part way thru doing the salt I realized that I hadn't pulled anything out for supper,so I got out the P.S. -I defrosted them enough in the microwave just enough to get them apart and then put a quick rub on them into the smoker they went at 225 -4 hrs later at 160 I pulled them off and finished on the grill ,they picked up a nice smoke and hubby
also I made a cheap boxed mac & cheese slightly doctored and put that in the smoker while finishing off the P.S. added a veggie and had a good supper-to avoid the SWDs next smoke planed for Friday -No last minute frozen dinner meat
