Well I just gave one to a co-worker yesterday and his wife blended up a little oj, some brown sugar and I think he said Squirt, as in the soft drink.. They baked it for an hour then glazed and baked for another half hour. He said it was some of the best he has ever had. I have two left that I'll score, clove and glaze for a photo shoot.

Man those look really good! I just got an injector and can't wait to try some hams. I have never seen picnics that small, I'll look at the Smart and Final in Phoenix to see they have any. BTW, thesausagemaker.com is offering free shipping on stuff, they've got really good quality items.

I too am curious about the baking end of your project. Did you take them to certain IT in the smoker? or will you worry about that in the oven?

Great job, and thanks for sharing.

I have one left that i need to bake. Ill put them in the oven at about 325 and go to an it of 160-165.

yer killing me pete!
I typed up a post saying that I gave one to my brother ( you remember Dan from the brisket throw down?) to do up for Thanksgiving at his house and he ruined it in the smoker. He did it up with a fatty that he made and both turned out waaayyyy to smokey..

Mom is home this evening so well have the last one for dinner tonight..

On a second note, I picked up a 10 Lb. ham shank portion at Albertsons for $1.49 / LB. I need to get that brining tomorrow. My brine fridge won't keep cold again so I need to brine in my beer fridge

. Oh well, SRP is going to pick it up on the 4th and send us a $50 dollar check! Not a bad deal for a broken, 43 year-old fridge..
