I picked one up a while back and it is still in the box, I am wondering what would you cook for the first cook? I guess I need to get it out and season and what not. I don't really want to do a Turkey but I could.

So what is it for first cook , pig, cow, bird, or something else?

thanks

dave

Hey Dave

I bought a Charbroil Big Easy because I didn't want hot oil from a deep fryer around my kids

My first cook in it was a turkey and it was very good.  Not as good as a deep fried turkey, but close.

My second cook was a couple pork roasts and they too were very good.

I injected the turkey breasts with a mix of white wine, butter and a little garlic.

The outside of your meat gets seared, and most of the juices stay inside.

This is the same way a "Broasted Chicken" is cooked

Best thing about the Charbroil Big Easy is it's much safer that a Deep Fryer!!

Take pics for us if you get the chance. I have a Char-Broil infrared grill and have wondered about the Big Easys.  Would like to see one in action. Thanks! :)

Well its got the right name BIG EASY!!!!!  It is that...a friend has one and cooks chicken in it all the time....I have never tasted any of it.

I have been thinking of doing a chicken or a hunk of pig for the first try. I guess I need to put the thing together first and get it seasoned.
