I saw in todays Winn Dixie ad that "Boston Butt Pork Roasts" are on sale at 99 cents a lb limit 2. Good deal not crazy bout the limit but hey twice a day for a few days and I'll be well stocked

I just bought a case of eight last week because if I bought the case they would only charge me 1.29 a lb and I thought I had gotten a deal. By the end of this sale I'll bet I have enough to last awhile

gosh I need another freezer.

Jerry - thanks for posting the butt prices. I'm going to be smoking some this wknd and that price beats the meat shop price. Looks like I'll be shopping with the "beef people".

I wish I could find prices like that near me. I'm lucky if I can get it here for $1.49 lb. Boston butts are almost imposible to find in a supermarket here, rarely they have picnics.

Usually have to make the trip to the butcher.

They also have 10lb bags of leg quarters for $.69 lb. I got two butts and 20lbs of chicken on my way home last night. I've already got folks asking when will it be coming out of the smoker. It'll be a good weekend.

woohoo! Thanks for the heads up! Now I've got 8 1/2 lbs in frig waiting rub, 8 lbs in the freezer. That's a heckuvalota meat for under $20

12 lbs for less then 12$ Nice... Can you guess whats going in my smoker tomorrow? (after I fish of course)

They will both get rubbed tonight! (after I fish of course)

I will pull them both and take them to my butcher who will then cryovac them for me in 2 lb. bags. I will trade him a bag for the work. They kinda like my cooking! ;D

Picked up two today. To free up room in the freezer, I will be doing a meatloaf and some chicken thighs tomorrow. These butts will have to wait.
