Does anyone have a suggestion about keeping my camp chef smoke vault lit with the slightest wind. In no wind conditions it is fine, but with the slightest breeze it goes out. The side vents do not close all the way and I think that is why it goes out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Adding a needle valve will help. Another quick fix is building a shield out of plywood or whatever you have. Placed a few inches away from the vents.

Guess I have been fortunate and have yet to have this issue with mine. I am planning to add a needle valve though. I have had good success with everything I've done so far but really want to hone in the temp control before I try a brisket.
You can bend the tabs on the vents so they close almost all the way. I've found though that I usually want them almost wide open to keep the smoke flowin'.
