Woohoo! Great job Chris! Yep, time for a little butt action!

Your a carolina boy, I want to see a butt come off that rig! Ribs look great bud.

I hear you Steveo. Butt is next on my list. Gonna have a BBQ get together and (hopefully) turn out some kick a$# BBQ. SoFLA has rave reviews on his finishing sauce, so I am going to use that and whip up a catch of Bilbo's BBQ sauce as well. Man I tell you, I am addicted. All I can think about is what I am gonna smoke next or "man, I bet that would be awesome smoked." Ill tell you what, all the Q-view on this site makes me hungry and the weekend cant get here fast enough.

now that's the way to break in your smoker!

great Q view!

now, which rub did you prefer?

it would be great if you could post the recipe or link!
I liked the MDM rub over the Kansas City style rub. Here are the both of the Rubs:

MDM’s FINGER LICKIN’ RIB RUB

Dry Ingredients–Only

1/3 Cup granulated sugar

1/3 Cup brown sugar

3 tspn. Old Bay Seasoning (sh-h-h, secret ingredient of MDM)

6 Tbspns. Kosher Salt or Coarse Mediterranean Sea Salt

¼ tspn. of paprika

1 tspn. dry mustard powder

2 Tbspns. ground black pepper

1 Tbspn. garlic salt

1 Tbspn. dried onion

1 Tbspn. dried basil

The MDM was really good, a little salt heavy though. I think my next batch of that I will but back a TBLS or a TBLS and a half.

Jeffs rub is the next I wanna try. Is it good on everything or certain things? I know on pork, it gets rave reviews.

Chris

Kansas City:

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup paprika

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cayenne
