I just bought 5 lbs of Pork Roast, I would like to smoke it tomorrow so I have 12 hours for any marinate...etc to take...if need be.  I have an electric MB Gen 1 30" smoker and I just bought the AMAZE thingy.  I have the chef's choice pellets from amaze and I have pecan wood chips if need be.

Any tips on how to smoke it?  How to serve it?  Any prep tips?  Should I marinate it?

EDIT: ALSO KNOWS AS PORK LOIN

Is it a pork loin?

Loin you can put in some brine.. a pork shoulder or Boston butt roast doesn't need to go in a brine really. You can poke it a couple dozen times with a skewer or something to make holes in it before you put it in liquid. Small holes shouldn't show up after its all cooked.

Yeah that's it!

Sorry Giant called it Pork Roast.

Cool.. well just a half cup of salt and a handful of sugar if you want in a pot with enough water to cover it would be good too..
I never had an electric smoker so not sure on using one.. but 225 to 275 is a good range and smoke the whole 3 to 5 hours.. till the meat is about 145 to 150 in the center. Make up a nice rub with your salt n pepper.. some garlic and onion powder.. Brown sugar and little heat of some kind.. you can use oil or mustard to put on before you rub it.. doesn't need it but works good.. cook fat up to drip over itself.. use a pan under it but don't block the heat circulation around it.

You should do a trial run of the pellet maze in there once and make sure it works. Try to simulate temps cooking and keeping that maze lit up.. you can read up on tips using search for that thing in your smoker.. you probably already have..

Good luck..
