Your warmer is straight up if you plan on feeding it that way so minimal intake is all you will need. With that being said I always add as much intake as I can for those day when there is not much wind and the cooker may need it. Normally if the cooker is properly balanced only the required intake is needed. For example on my little cooker 24" x 55" chamber I have three intakes about 2" x 5.5" but I normally have it set at about a 3/8" opening in each now mind you I am running a 6" x 24" exhaust on her because I like my cookers to breathe.

I'm sry I was meaning the length for the fire box my plan was 36 inch but I have 55 inch to play with.

I'm asking if I should make Firebox longer so I could cook in the reverse flow horizontal smoker, and cook in the warmer at the same time

And any idea on how hot the warmer would run without putting smoke in it

I had to look back to page one. So you plan on the connection between the two chambers to be 10" that and with the radiant heat from the firebox you will be fine. You could be 36" tall and have at least three grates 6+ inches apart. You will only need a short 6" diameter exhaust about 12" tall.

Looking at your pic I would attach the two chambers below your main chamber exhaust. Have either a butterfly or slide damper to close it off when not in use. So if you want to use the upright as a cooker close off the main chamber exhaust open the 8" connector and open the warmers exhaust. The radiant heat from the top of the firebox is going to get you close to cooking temps  and when you add the heat smoke from the chamber you will be up to cooking temps in no time.

There is no need in opening the top of your firebox for this my warmer runs a constant 150° / 175° just off radiant heat. When I open the slide I can get up to 250° easy.

Can you post some pics of the whole back end of your trailer?i I need to get an idea of what your up against.

The.jack is there because the springs are trying to bend the opposite direction so I think I'm going to install coil over shocks to help weight and the axle is only tacked so after its together I can center the weight out

My bet is your axle will need to be to the very rear of the chamber.
On the intake issue would it be possible to drop the left and right frame and catch the belly of the firebox?

Any thing is possible with a touch and a welder but not absolutely sure on how to do it..

How low does the intake need to be I was thinking if the grate is 6in of bottom of pipe vent needs to be a 3in from bottom
