I'll admit it, I'm an all or nothing kind of guy. So, when I decided my first ever brisket would be for Christmas dinner, having a back up plan didn't really cross my mind cuz I was too busy focusing on getting this right.

Well, -20 over night, starting at midnight, a last minute conversion of my dyna glo offset charcoal to propane using my fish fryer burner, and working on 2.5 hrs of sleep couldn't keep me from getting this first one done right. All because of the info here. 16 total hours, from smoker to dinner plate and I gotta say I very happy with my first go results.

It's a Christmas Miracle........No actually with the info I've gotten here my first Brisket was a success also. Read up, study up, get a good thermometer and a box of toothpicks and ya can't go wrong.

-20 now that's a little to cold for me to be running out to my smoker. Glad it was a success and your pics make me envious. Point for sure.
