Bought myself a couple of chuck roasts to make pulled beef. Going to smoke for about 3 hours then pan them in some beef broth. What rub should I use? I have the following at home Weber original, Weber bold chipotle, Chicago steak, all american by pork barrel, Bad Byron's, Fat Boy. Any suggestions?

I agree with kruizer. I normally just use a simple SPOG for pulled beef.

Just a lil recommendation: add a couple carrots, celery ribs and an onion, all corse chopped, to the pan for some extra tasty jus when it's finished. Have it heated up too when you throw the meat in so it's doesn't slow down the cook. Good luck!

Thanks for all the responses guys. Went with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Going to add beef broth when I pan it. Trying to decide if I want to add Worcestershire sauce to the broth? Oh yeah and some onions for sure.

This stuff is great chris! Give it a try. I use it over Worcestershire every time.

I’d use the dales bumrush. But that’s really just personal preference. Worcestershire is good too! Damn I love pulled beef!

Scott

Thanks Scott, I've never seen or heard of Dales before.

Chris

Brush that on a steak before it hits the grill chris. Life changing!

Yeah people complain about the salt in it. Not me. I like it the way it is. But they do have a low sodium version as well.

Scott

I may have to take a trip around the Amazon soon or walk the aisles of Walmart. It sounds good. Thanks for the heads up Scott.

Chris

Not a problem chris. I mix it in my burgers and meatloaf as well. It is salty but it’s tasty!
